Just bleach your hair and wear white and it won't matter....just kidding. I think the only way is with funny smelling shampoos unfortunately, but I'm not an expert on the subject so I could be wrong.

Its not about washing your hair. In fact washing your hair more makes your scalp more dry and more likely to have dandruf.

well, uh, this kind of sounds disgusting, but it could do the trick, and you don't have to go out and buy shampoo...
Egg-yoghurt pack: A mixture of egg yolk and sour yoghurt also nourishes hair strands and stimulates the oil balance of the scalp. Apply the mixture on the scalp for half-an-hour. Then rinse and shampoo.
For treating general symptoms like itching and flaking, try the following tips:
# To the regular oil that you use, add two drops of Rosemary oil. Massage this into your scalp and leave overnight.
# To one tablespoon of lemon juice, add a pinch of black pepper and massage this on your scalp before a shampoo.
# There are some good, effective Ayurvedic anti-dandruff hair washes available in the market which relieve itching.

Sometimes get dandruff problems too. But massage your scalp when your lathering up and blowdry your hair afterwards. If its really nasty use a tar oil shampoo like once a week.
Cause od Dandruff: its not actually overdry scalp, but a unbalace of fungi that live on your scalp. So hene the blowdrying

dandruff is just dry skin on your scalp that flakes off. when you get dry skin elsewhere on your body, what do you use? lotion. just put some in your hair after you shower and you'll be fine.

a lot of the times (so-called) dandruff is just from taking halfassed shower. you need to fully rinse your hair with warm then cold water to make sure all the conditioner is out.
