Where's the best place to go??? I was thinking of Alpine or Heavenly. Are there any better place to ski for about 5 days???

I don't think it matters if you are from sf or oakland (which I am) cause if you are staying for five days its worth it to go to any resort. Alpine is nice, but it could also depend where you are staying too.

I don't think its worth sleeping in a civic sedan for five days...

I just wanted to know what resort would be better, Alpine or Heavenly...nothing to do with with where I'll be sleeping. Just wanna find one resort and stay there the whole time. But I wanted to make sure to go to the best one around.

If you have 5 days, why not just go to all the big ones for one day each? alpine, heavenly, kirkwood, squaw, and then pick your favorite of those to go back to on the 5th day. that way you can find your favorite resort. i assume you'll be going up again in january or feb. or march.

that might be a good idea but in my opinion it takes a few days to even get acquainted with some of the larger mountains (like heavenly).
I havent skied tahoe yet, but if vail is relative equation you can spend a week getting lost on frontside groomers before you find what you are really looking for....
My advice, hit up one of these friendly locals if you arent going to slow them down......but em lunch for a tour of whatever resort, and your golden.

Sounds good, so anyone wanna ride with me either at Alpine, Heavenly, June, or Mammoth??? It sounds stupid asking this question, but where do most of you guys ski at between these places???
I have a co-worker that's gonna be at mammoth, so she told me I could crash there. Therefore, thought of skiing at June and Mammoth.
Also, thought bout just staying at either Alpine or Heavenly for full 5 days.
Need all the inputs I can cause, I've just reserved plane tickets, but haven't decided which resort to go. I'll be in that area between 1/4-1/10, let me know if anyone can help.

Here's the real story..I have only skied Heavenly 2x's and both times it was bad...the elevation is high and so the top is in the clouds but i had my best park day there...i have never been to alpine...i love northstar. have you looked into that or sugarbowl?

Alright, I'll give you guys a deal. To any of you who ski at Northstar and Sierra. If you hook me up with a place to stay for five days and show me around the mountain. I will give you the doule whammy season pass before I leave. This will be for me and my roommate. Let me know if anyone is interested.
