First off welcome to newschoolers.com . You have most likely come to this site to share your love for skiing with the majority of today’s freeskiing community. Newschoolers is a very useful resource for skiers. It is a great place to come if you have any questions about anything to do with your favorite sport, or if you just wanna know why you can’t figure out your latest gadgets. However lately newschoolers has seen dark times where hate and bashing take a toll on everyones self esteem, but with a few helpful hints you can learn how to keep the haters from hatin’.
Hint #1: The Search Bar
I know that we cant all know everything, and we are bound to have some questions that we are just dying to ask, however the haters or “villains” if u will, have a tendency to get relatively angry if they see the same thing posted twice. To avoid any conflicts you and the villains may have just use the search bar. Located on the upper right section of your screen, you can type your question or brilliant idea in here to see if u realy are the first person to ”invent an incandescent lawn mower”. In conclusion the majority of the time you will find your answers here.
Hint 2: Acceptance of the term “Noob”
Here’s a word your unlikely to find in the latest edition of the oxford dictionary. The term “Noob” or “Noobicondraticus” (its latin decent) means a new person to something, in this case the site. Although it does rhyme with a slang term for breast and may make you feel uncomfortable to discuss with your mother your just gunna have to toughen up and deal with it. You are a noob, but that’s ok because we were all noobs at one time or another. So in conclusion don’t take offence to being called something that sounds dreadfully similar to the bumps on a womans chest, we don’t hate you.
Hint 3: What would your mother think of you bashing?
Alrighty heres the deal, plain and simple no one like to feel like shit, and I KNOW that you don’t either so don’t put someone else down. Think of it this way before you say anything that you think would be at all offensive to another member put yourself in their shoes and say to yourself “how would I feel if someone said this to me?”. Then if you feel like your reply is of no offense to anyone reply away. (I know sometimes its hard not to retaliate but try your best.) In conclusion just remember, you need to love to be loved.
Hint 4: Scroll posting is for dum-dums.
I want you to put yourself in a little scenario, you’ve just seen a thread that has caught your eye. You race to the mouse and move the curser, upon your click you think “why don’t I take this time to call my long distance carrier and upgrade to high speen internet?”. The window pops up, you forget about upgrading and begin to read. You finish and think “Sweet Captain Crunch I know this!”. Your first thought is to scroll down really fast and reveal the answer to claim your e-glory. But wait…STOP!! Before you just post read what the other members have said, see if your e-glory has in fact already seen the light. If someone else has already posted move your fingers away from the keyboard, count backwards from 10 and move on. I guess what I am getting at is just don’t post the same thing twice, the newschoolers villains reely don’t fancy this pish-posh.
Alrighty then, I hope I have been of some assistance as you continue your journey on the path to newschoolers enlightenment. And always remember, “Stop the Hate, Spread the Love”.
Sincerely,
Your Pal,
Keegan.
