using reason 3 and soundforge for wav edits. making drum&bass, but not too prolific with it now that ski season has started.

and while i'm pimping my shit, i have an e-mu 1212m soundcard, technics 1200's with a vestax pmc-25 mixer, and mackie hr624 monitors (drool).

i use adobe audition, i mainly just record stuff, i dont make my own beats or anything on the computer.

i have reason, but i dont know how to use it...ehhh

i use audition to record and mix and such...i bought the total training dvd thing for it to learn from..pretty helpful... I mostly just recored my/my bands music. I by pass my crappy sound card and use guitar port by line6. it is soooo slean sounding.

sounds great man. nice work.

As for equipment I'm running:
acid, wav pro, yamaha dgx 505 keyboard, soundforge
preamp/mic, friends who play guitar/bass/acoustic

now and then, I get to go into the studio to play with mpcs and all that other good stuff.

For the most part, it's just acid pro, yamaha keyboard, and me.

And this shouldn't be called a "setup", this is simply software. (Oh yea I use Fruity Loops for beats... I might check out Reason).

i am a live sound guy. I do record some studio project shit. I have a motu 896 and digitla performer for remote recording onto my ibook g3. Its an older setup but it does the trick. I am a live audio engineer to pay the bills. I really want to learn to use reason more profeciently. are there any other live guys? would that be ok to have a live audio thread on here?

i know shit all about live recording. i think it would be awesome to get some knowledge on it, so post away. working with live shit is sooo much harder than just putting beats together with software.

and if you have any live drum samples you want to upload that would be killer too.

Count me in too. Always up for finding out more about live recording techniques and info.

I did a few live hip hop songs in the past. Alot of fun, but took some time to choreograph everything.

we recently got a guitarport..those are awesome. i also converted to ableton live, instead of audition, its way easier to use.
