Hey David,
We measure the skis according to ISO standard. True if you compare them with Gay skis with no tail, they ski shorter by about 30 to 100 mm depending if you compare with race skis or normal short tail skis. Our problem is that if we would make 185 invaders we would sell about 15 pairs including yours.
Regards,
Francois

Keep up the good work

uhhh.......the LENGTH of the ski should not DEPEND on ur HEIGHT as much as it should DEPEND on ur WEIGHT...

seems kinda pointless to me.
the invader is a park specific ski, i really cant see the advantage of a longer ski unless youll be skiing it out of the park which you wont cause its a park specific ski.
if you want a all mountain ski, dont buy invaders.
problem solved

Yeah, what an asshole. Is that really the best excuse that LINE can come up with for thier fals advertising. I have nothing against LINE skis... just as long as I remember to get one size larger than I really want I am fine.

line please make your skis longer for those of us not vertically challenged we have to go with other companies, please please please make at least 185's!

The thing is even with people saying they have to go to other companies to buy stuff, I agree with a ski like the chronic they should make a longer stick.
But the invader, unless you currently own a 183 stl, you should just shutup because you're probably not going to buy a 185 invader.

Read his message again, he's calling race skis gay. And its not false advertising, theres no law on how a company should measure there skis. Line does it according to the ISO standard, so obviously its the way some other companies measure their skis, otherwise it wouldn't be a standard.

Did I say that a one ski quiver was as good as a two or three ski quiver? Absolutely not. I ski anywhere from five to ten skis in a season but not everyone has that option. My point is that I sell 175 and even 185 ARV's all the time to kids who ski a ton of park because when the snow falls they still want to be able to ski big mountain. Your smallest ski aparently has a 98mm waist and you own more than one ski so don't consider yourself the kid I'm talking about.

I'm 6'1" 185lbs and I'd be ALL UP ON 185 invaders, those would be like the ultimate park ski for me. I'm busting my ass just trying to find a park ski over 180 for this winter cuz i really hate short feeling skis.

I wanted invadars but I'm 6'3" 185lbs so I do not consider the invadars for my next pair of skis but if there was a 185, they would def. be one if not my top choice.

haha that wasn't what he was talking about. the point he was trying to make was the the invader wouldn't be "the best one ski newschool quiver ever!". the invader would ski powder like shit. it would ski all mountain like shit. it's not a do-everything ski... all it is is a cheap ass park ski, and good for nothing else. now the chronic wide since it's pretty much the same thing as last year's pollard.. now that's a pretty good one ski quiver.

If pollard was making the Elizabeths in the image of snowboards then they're probably short for a reason, i mean go look at snowboard sizes.

if the invaders run as small as ppl say, I would definitely be down for a 185... Some people say that K2 run big? Isnt a 179 k2 more like a 182+?
Im 5'10 and I ride 179 PEs and mounted at +6 they don't feel any larger than my old 169 1080s...
