Sorry for triple post. I'm sooooo bored

This was my first attempt at photography so therefore I'd have to say it was my 'best' (as well as my worst...). Borrowed a t3i for the weekend when I went up camping and snapped a couple shots.
I didn't color correct any of these because I don't really know photoshop and just know I'd make it worse if I tried. Seeing as I'm about as beginner as it gets at photography, I don't know what constitutes a good picture vs. bad down to the nitty gritty but I'll just choose a couple that I like. Would love to hear critiques though about how to make myself better!

Thanks man! 10/10! This is why I would like to learn photoshop a little better... I mean, I'm sure that was fairly easy for you to do but I'd have no idea how to do that. If I end up ditching the video camera for a DSLR, I'm sure I'd end up getting more into photography and photoshop

You got talent. You should pick up a 20D/30D and a 50mm f/1.8. You could get that for 300$.

Yeah it's really useful, all I had to do for was select the area that I wanted fixed, very useful tools on ps. I don't even have a camera yet but i can do a lot with ps, had had it a year or so using it every so often.

That wouldn't make the difference I guess. The distinction between her lower-lip and teeth is almost nonexistent.

The perspective is really bothering me. Her legs take up way too much space in the picture. Throws off the whole composition, at least for me. I like your other one MUCH better. It's a shame it's a little oof, otherwise it would have been a really nice portrait. Her gaze is really intense.

I totally thought these two were one picture when I first glanced and that you just selectively saturated the fence and desaturated the buildings behind it. Kind of a cool idea actually, but none the less, good pictures

I just bought a little backup micro four thirds camera to start shooting street photography like this. Good stuff man!

I fucked up the framing on this one and cut his feet out, wasnt used to framing with just the screen of an epm1 so my wrist blocked and cut his feet.

Let me guess, you're shooting on a camera that's less than 2 years old? The screens on those are ridiculous and make stuff look much better than it is. As soon as you download them to your computer screen they look shit. I'm just happy with my crappy 5Dc screen.

Cool! Which one did you buy?

I've really gotten into street photography the last couple weeks. Too bad I'll be out in Montana next year, so not much to photograph there. As far as street goes: not many places beat NYC or a busy city.

olympus epm1. I got the cheapest micro four thirds possible since my real camera is already worth a lot and is fully equiped. I realy want to buy the 17mm f2.8 though, very sharp and great look.

I don't know anything about the Olympus, but the most important thing for street photography is fast autofocus. I don't know if your camera is any good, but if it isn't I would return it. I tried shooting street with my Samyang 35mm (no AF) by just pre-focusing and waiting for people to get into focus, but that was nigh impossible.

34mm is a great FL for street, depending on what you want to shoot.

sick wakeboarding shots, try include the wake a little bit to give some more perspective on how big the rider went, and a better idea of the trick imo.
