This, rule of thirds is SO complicated, it's often over simplifiyed to 'put the subject on an intersection'. Way more applications for it, someone post that desert sand/hills photo reference!

Horizon line lines up on bottom third, and trees roughly line up at bottom third and vertical third intersections.

Composition is pretty much just as I'd have done as well as many other photographers out there who stick to the rule on a regular basis. Unless the sky was just boring as shit blue, that is... and I usually hate photos that have the sky as just the top 3rd... Looks weird as fuck for the most part.

All taken with vintage OM lenses, I love them. they have a slight natural vignette (first one really shows this), and its nice having a wide angle.

well finally got my camera back after it sitting in the shop for over a month (card socket was backordered, fml) got out and took some pictures of the bozeman summer though! loving having my baby back.

ballet performance at the sweet pea arts festival, pretty cool actually all set to the music of beruit.
