Higher grounds

i already saw it and i have to say, as a warren miller fan (many members of this site are not), i was extremely dissappointed. the music was horrible, im not just talkin wm bad, i mean, really shitty. also, it was crazy slow and therefore quite boring. i dont know if they tried to put too much into it or too little, but it just did not flow. also, every thing wm actually voices over on the film has been cut from previous films!!! so it was almost like, "shit ive already watched this movie a thousand times". what else....oh yea, j. bloom is the star of the film and im sry to say he falls far short of impressive and im from boulder, co, so that sux to say. the only cool part was the chris anthony segment, where he gets pulled behind a snowmobile at like ~75 mph! that was pretty intense. thats wut i thought ne way, hope its just me tho......

the best part for me when i saw it, and i only saw a little bit cause im not a fan of his movies, but i respect him a ton. warren miller is a legend.

anyway, best part was when someone, forget who, is skiing down a line, and warren narates saying "*some name* makes a life saving, right turn"

then the entire snow pack around him slides. it was HUGE. he wouldve been dead. then they show him on like a 20 foor patch of safe snow...it was nuts.

^^is it still worth seing?

yes and no. the movie is notoriously overpriced every year, compared to films done by companies like tgr, so u have to expect to over pay. but at the same time, this is not a ~$20 dollar one time view by ne means, b/c of the stuff i mentioned above, which is surprising this yr b/c it usually is. one plus is that the ticket also bought me two free tickets(copper and winterpark) so thats worth the money right there. i cant really say if its a good deal for u tho, b/c i dont know what u'd pay and wut other shit u'd get out of it.
