ok i bought this years 174 scratches and had them mounted with look pivot 10s. i told the shop to mount the 2 cm back from center. i thought they understood me but apparently they didn't. they mounted them 2 cm back from the modern mount point which is essentially the traditional mounting point. the difference between where i wanted them mounted and where they mounted it is a little more than 5 cm.
what should i do?
will a remounting lower the integrity of the ski?
sorry about all the writing but please help.

make the fuckers get you a new pair of skis. that's fuckin bullshit. and if they don't, report them to the better business council and sue their bitch asses for a new pair of skis

From what I've heard, is that you can mount them up to 3 times before structural integrity is affected. Just make sure your shop fills the old holes properly.

I would have the shop mount a new pair up for you. If they mismounted the skis, then they should admit they screwed up and fix the situation

nope.
a ski shop only knows "alpine" skiing, they are clueless to anything we're doing out on the slopes (or concrete).
i would NEVER trust a ski that has been double drilled or even re-mounted. i had to replace a binding last season and a few months later i broke a fujative...i can only imagine what would have happened if it let go on a big booter or something, considering i have a 3 inch gash in my back from the tail of my ski already.

i live in ohio...there are no big booters here but i still want a ski that will hold up and i wont have to worry about braking

Listen up kiddies!
Figure out where you want the mid-sole of your boot to be and draw a line with permenant marker on the ski. When dropping of the ski on the form make sure they write down the specifics of what mount you want.
If they fuck it up after doing this you are intitled to new skis.
