nothing special actually. it was just before the slopestyle stevens were having, i was trying to figure out a good line because my original one wasnt working because i wasnt getting enough speed for the second jump. i popped off the lip wrong on a swtch bs 5 and had too much speed and overshot, overrotated, and overcorked and just landed directly on my side.
i got the wind knocked outta me so i couldnt tell anything was wrong at first. then, once i could breathe again, i had a sharp aching pain that wrapped around my left side from my stomach all the way to just left of my spine. i was pretty sure something was wrong, pretty convinced that i had broken or bruised a few ribs in my back. i just kinda sat there waiting for the aching to go away so i could snowboard again, but it just kept getting worse so i went down to ski patrol
maybe, i'll see if i have enough $$$. i hate that i have to go and get a bunch of shots at the doctor tomarrow, else i would go then and skip the half day.
wierd, there's a cliff that looks a lot like this under jupitor. and i did say it was not my pic, i just didn't want to post all the pics with a quote reply, as i only wanted this one.
I wish I had the 16-35. but i love the 17-40 i mean its an L lens its the highest quality you can get. and yes the 10d is 1.6 crop factor making my 17-40 a nice middle range zoom.
I'm almost tempted to get afew primes, like a 24 and a 50.. it'd suck carrying around lenses though
I can't wait to see what'll happen when they start coming out with full frame DSLR's that aren't slow... like a 5d mixed with a 20d... full frame, fast bursts
in the ski areas latest gallery album they have a picture of where they attempted to groom north face and created a big square of ridges on a steep slope. I wonder if its a requirement for the cat drivers to be drunk while working.
Its weird though, that face gets enough sun and it was warm enough that I dont think it froze the snow overnight. We were taking lines through the moguls at like 10:00 and they were semi-soft.
