I've never tried them myself, but I have never heard anything but praise for them. However, you should know that the Bandit X has a 15mm tail, like the Darkside does. The XX has a 20mm tail and the XXX has a 30mm tail. I wouldn't recommend the XXX unless you ski off-piste and powder mostly (it has a 95mm waist). If you want something with a flared tail that is also rounded, you should check out the Maverick by Line (which has a 30mm tail, but is small enough in the waist to be a great hardpack/groomer ski) or the Karhu Ruckit (which is a stiffer version of the Maverick).

well, I can attest to this question because I have ridden bandit X, XX, and I now own Volkl Vs and Candides.
I loved my Bandit X last year (they are exactly the same this year). It was very stable at speed, good in powder, the edges bit down into ice, and they spun pretty well. The 15mm tail is fine for launching or landing switch, except in deeper snow. The only real downside was that the topsheet will (and did) crack although it's only cosmetic. I got rid of them because they were a little heavy and expensive (selling them used gave me enough to buy new Candides).
This season I wanted to play in the park a little more, do rails (never wreck a bandit like that), and have a lighter ski. I tried a couple of skis, and the Candide was the stifest of twins out there. They ski awesome! Good quick turns, responsive, nice carving ability (although not quite as stable at high speeds on hard surfaces), and the park is so much fun. I really have a blast on them, and I don't plan on spending big bucks (even proform price that I pay) on expensive all-mountain skis anytime soon.
To answer you question, the Bandit X is great in the park. The Bandits XX is good too, but it gets a little heavy for spinning. If you mainly ski all-mountain and sometimes head for the park, you will be very happy with the Bandit X. If you are going to spend at least 40% in the park and want to improve your jibbing, get Candides.
