New Boots

I just got 06 PE's with Salomon 912ti bindings im 5'5" and 125 i ride 60%park and 40% all mountain. I ride agressivly all mountain. i was wondering what boot i should get i want one that is comfortable with good support and wont kill me on landings. Thanks

The 1080 boots are pretty good for just about everything. They're fairly soft (85?) so they ski park really well and you can ski the mountain on them too. I personally prefer the tecnica icons, but I have bitch shins so I need a softer boot.

i just got the 1080 boot today and i think that they are soooo sick!! they feel really good and they arnt to soft so all mountain wont be to hard. goo boot, if you want somthin' a little stiffer tho, i woul recomend the x-wave 8 (flex 95) or the or the lange crl 90 or the crl 90 fr. peace

Don't pay attention to flex number. Each company's is different, so they're only important if you can reference to the same brand. I would suggest last year's Lange CRL 80FRs if you're a smaller guy or the Comp 120FRs if you're bigger. They are the same as this year's, but you should be able to find them cheap.

Actaully, Lange offers three different size liners (narrow, medium, and wide.) He is right, though, the boot needs to fit [i]you[/i].

yo i went 2 my shop and tried on a bunch and narrowed it down 2 the beast 12 and 1080's. I want 2 try the beast 10's but they didnt have my size. can anyone tell me what their flex is like compared 2 the other 2 i can get the beast 12 for 450 and the 1080's for like 310 then i have like 200 store credit is it worth it for the beast their really comfy but i dont kno how they perform on the snow

The Beasts are a much more performance oriented boot. The 1080s are little soft for some people. If the price doesn't matter to you, go with the Beasts.

u'd actually be a bitch if u didn't get the beast, b/c the salomon is a much sloppier boot. as for ur thoughts about being 2 light for the beast.......please! i weigh about the same as u and i ski the speedmachine. the beast is crazy flex compared to that and i have no problems. beast is a good boot tho....

hey, did u try ne langes on? it sounds like those would fit ur foot very nicely, plus they're even softer than the beast(when comparing respective models).

You should be careful with Langes. If the Beasts fit well, you probably have a medium to wide foot. Langes tend to favor narrow foots. If you try them on, make sure you try some with medium or high volume lasts (i.e. for medium or big feet.)

dude dont be a dick, and your a bad ass ooooooohhhhh u use speedmachines tuff guy now. and he said that the beasts fit so like someone said up there ^ that his foot is probably pretty wide so the langes wont fit to well then.
