Parents found an empty flask...

Hey
Well no one here knows me so you wouldn't really know my parents. Their not really strick but if they are about stuff like drinking and drugs. They let me stay out until 3-4 as long as I tell them when I get home. I'm only 16 so drinking is still illegal. I don't drink a whole lot but like to from time to time (ever two weeks?) Anywho I went to a party a month ago and never left the empty flask there, I shoved it in my bag along with some other liqour I never drank. So I went home and everything was good and unpacked my bag and shoved it in my closet under some stuff to hide it abit.
Last friday I went away with the senior volley ball team for a tournoment and came home and found out that she cleaned out my room, and the bed was made and resting on my pillow was a empty flask. I just sort of stood there looking at it in shock. Before I left i took the other stuff and hid it in another part of my house but forgot about the flask because soemthing covered it up. Anyway she was like do you have anything to say and I was like yah i'm sorry but thats it. What am I soposed to say? Then she asked me questions like if my g/f drank where i got it when i had my last drink etc.
Anyway what am I soposed to do or say to get out of this one? Help me please because they will probly take something away like ski gear or wrose my iPod Nano I just ordered. If they do that i'll get really fucking pissed sence I payed for all of it, but none the less help.

Yah I know she wants the truth but thats gonna be hard to say. I was drinking at a party about a month ago and it was in my bag when I got home and tossed it in my closet. Thats not going to go over all that well. And I don't care about my grammer on NS.

I know this isnt a huge life problem but at the moment this is big, i'm only young and have nothing to worry about and this is something that I need to. My parents once again lost my turst which is hard to earn. And it isn't just that, it's the fact that I went behind their back and done that. Their turst means something to me, and I don't really care if your parents turst is something big to you or not.

It seems like you're putting too much thought into this... the longer you ignore something that's a real problem, the more you'll regret it. Do what you need to do. And while you're at it, learn how to spell "trust".

first of all, its "trust"
secondly, it is your fault, and only your fault that you did that behind thier bakcs and lost thier trust.

your parents just want you save, tell them that you tried it and you didn't like it. just be honest and don't make up any part of your story. they might take away something of yours but if your honest they might take it away for a lesser period of time.

i can't really see the 'at least i'm not doing heroin' line working. i mean, that's not exactly what your mom wants to hear.

Yah some good ideas. I guess i'll just tell them straight out and see how that goes. As for spelling trust wrong twice ina row thats pretty sad. I do know how to spell it but i guess i just typed it wrong, twice. Anyway i'll post when I find out what happens.

dont be sorry. everybody drinks at an early age. the kids who wait till they are 18,19,21 ect. look like morons when they dirnk because they dont know how to handle their liqour. id tell them you drank and it wasnt very fun, and you split the flask with 2 or 3 friends. say it tasted like shit and play dumb to the whole thing. then make sure a) you hide your shit better, and b) you never get caught.

Listen up. I got caught smoking pot this summer, and i'm 14. My parents flipped. I'm not here to whine about how my life is worse than yours, I have some advice. Quickly after getting caught they knew I drank simply because, who smokes pot and hasn't drank before? I was forced to tell them the truth. It's been a little over 2 months since I got caught, and since I've smoked pot. Now I have gotten to a point where I can freely tell them when I drink. It's great, such a stress-reliever to not have to hide it. Prove to your parents that you can be responsible with it and not fuck up your life. I almost did.

If you want to keep your parents trust, then tell them the truth. That's what i did. Just tell them that you drank/ am going out tonight to drink and that you will be safe. I always tell my mom when i do, and she hates it and gives me guilt trips and shit when i do, but she knows she cant change my mind. I am a little older so it may be different, but jsut being truthful will keep their trust. what are they going to say, you lied to me by telling me you were going to drink?
