someone help me i dunno if i should get invaders 161 or 171. Im mainly a park rat and like to spin around on rails and do fun butters and some shit off of jumps so i want a fairly small ski right? but the thing is i dont want a ski that could snap and a ski that might look too small for me. a 161 goes to the bottom of my nose. and i 171 goes to the top of my head. what should i do? a 171 might be less fun when i go in the park because it might be harder to control. and i wanna hit urban rails as well. a 161 or a 171?!

yeah but I was his same size last winter rocking 187's in the park. I'm not trying to brag but I mean 161s? And trying to say a few inches doesn't matter in ski length is definetly does, Try skiing the same ski in different lengths they all ski differently. I used to work at a demo shop and I would try every size and very seldomly will two skis of different sizes of the same brand ski alike.
I think bigger is better if you are a fairly strong skier. Bigger skis are faster, more stable and just all around a more cushy ride.

man a 4 year old could ride 210cm he just wouldnt have control the same could have gone for you. i dont wanna get a huge size cause im pro i want a size that is good lookin and fun to play on but can still handle anything big i'd like to conquer.

dude you want a 178. thats hardly above you and there so soft you will need the extra length. you wont regret getting 178. and there dead centre so they will seem pretty short anyway.

I dont see what you are worried about, you dont even need to make turns in the park, besides they probably weigh an extra .2 pounds a piece and you'll never notice the difference in weight. Even if they are harder to handle at first you will grow into them and they will be better in the long run. Sure spinning like a top on skiblades is easier but you look like a d-bag

no, that's how you pick snowboards. if you are above a bigginer in skill, if you weigh that much, you want a bigger ski.

also, the invaders are true center so they will ski slightly smaller, meaning you definitely want 178

According to Sticky, If you are a middle weight skier , that is, between 130 and 160, your range can be anywhere from 165 to 180. Again, this is contingent on skill. Beginners, still to the lower end, 165-170 and better skiers can hit the upper end. So choose your skier level and let that help you choose the length.

get a 171, you dont need a 178. if they are to the top of your head that is perfect. 171 is the way to go

are you joking?
get the 178. youll be happy. its a light, soft ski, youll want a bigger size. and dude, your 5'10....thats like 180cm.....why wouldnt you go with the 178?

171 isn't the top of his head. 171 is 5'6" and he's 5'10". 178s are definitely the way to go.

yea, skiing really short skis is not very cool. get them around your head or above. but for you, and your riding, the 178 would be perfect.

that's rediculous have you skied them? It's more about weight anyway and they're a park ski. If you're buying it for park than get the 171.

i posted the same thing...im 5'7"/5'8" 145 pounds...and i decided to get 178s...line measures tip to tip...before they make the tips curved so u basically lose 4 or 5 cm...so a 178 is pretty much a 174 or 175 and skis a little taller will help on jumps
but would skis taller than me make it harder for tech stuff on rails??

and we all know how fast you can spin is the only thing to put into consideration when buying a ski. Woah did you see that kid spin a 900 on that 10 footer SICKKK

Ride whatever size you want. If you are riding park without huge hits, then 161 is fine. It is better for rails anyway.
