temps are supposed to be highs of 50 and lows in the high 20s or low 30s, cold enough to blow snow, i was at killy today and was told they will start blowin snow tuesday.
killington plans on opening friday nov. 11th. i talked to some people who work there today and they plan to start blowing snow on tuesday and will continue through the week.
Mostly clear in the evening then becoming cloudy with a mix of light rain and snow after midnight. Low 34F. Winds SW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precip 30%.
agreed.
they were open last weekend after they got all that snow. but then it got really warm and its been to warm up there. almost positive they wont be open this weekend (checked with my friends who work there) and HOPEFULLY the weekend after they will be. but who knows.
i think im gonna talk to mother nature about this.
A_E, me showing you the 10 day forcast and saying its going to be to warm, will not effect the outcome of killy opening.
As of now there is little to no snow left, and in the next few days there will be none. It needs to be below 32 in the days for them to blow the amount of snow needed. Now it could happen by the 11th, but i would not count on it, and i will hope they are open for thanksgiveing at this ponit.
Just received a call from the park manager, and says they WILL BE OPEN ON FRIDAY, and even if they dont, he holding a private sesh for pre season b crew. he says hes setting up the new stair set they got.
