Subwoofer Volume

Ok I got a question about how to keep your sub volume. I know I should blast my computer controlled volume and control the speaker volume from the actual speakers NOT the keyboard or iTunes! But what do you do for you sub? Just keep everything on the computer and iTunes balanced and adjust it from the sub itself or what? Thanks!

I usually have everything on my computer cranked up, and then adjust the volume with the speakers...but it's actually a habit, if it'sn not like that I go crazy.

i have the sub at a good level.. i dont want it to do over playing so it sounds like shit
