what is the metal pipes on the sides of boxes exactly for cuz im makin a box right now and it would be alot easier if i didnt have to put it on

im not really sure maybe so the lexan doesnt wear out as fast?

i dont think so, how would sliding on metal be better for your skis? unless you mean better in a different way, if so then what do you mean?

its not so jagged so and the edges of lexan litterally cut your edges off im pretty sure

yep, and so the edges of the boxes don't chip, and so your edges won't dig into them

its mainly to protect the topsheet, i made a box without the coping and the topsheet just chipped and cracked up

ya it prolongs the life of your box because instead of slipping off early and catching an edge and falling you just slide over the coping
