ya it is, saw a dicovery channel special on it about a year ago.

they are also planning to use it in more day-to-day senarios, like blowing the tires off cars during a high-speed chase.

The stuff that the military comes up with nowadays is fucking unreal, and thats why America is sweet.

We did that during the Cold War. America feared that the Russians we're spying with satellites, so we built satellites that flew next to the Russian satellites to laser the computer grids and blow the fuses..

If one country has it, then there is a rooster in the hen house. Nukes are useless if you can detect and destroy them over the enemies own country. This laser is not a way to kill people, but a way to defend people.
