Whats up with salomons mounting points?

Where the hell is the "reccomended" spot, most solomons go by the little line that is stamped in, that line on my ski is about 3.5 cm back from TRUE center that seems kinda far forward for the foils suppositive all mtn versitility. theres an indent in the ski that looks about right but salomon says that is just how the ski is made and means nothing....
I guess some of them come with arrows or something.. i have no idea what the hell is goin on, me and my tech couldnt figure out what was goin on with these things...

yeah, cause it's a still a fresstyle oriented ski, but it can handle all mountian. My Stealth's are mounted 2.5cm back from center.
There designed to be mounted farther forward.
If you haven't skied them yet, you'll start to like it.

Salomon uses soo much sidecut I wouldn't play with moving their mounting points too much cuz it will screw up the turn shape. If you want to ski it more all mountain go like 5 back from true but probably don't want to change it much further than that.

My foils definetly have a metal mark for mid-sole, I believe it is 2-3in from center, Haven't measure in a while

I have mine 174 Foil mounted at the recommended and they ski all-mountain like no other ski!
True ski center is marked on my ski with a blurry line across the width, which is like +4cm from the recommended point.

Oh yeah, the recommended point is marked with a small metallic line.

thats what i thought but when i called salomon they said pay no attention to the line accros the ski that is only where the top sheet over laps, so about -4 from true center is recomended Freeride (allmtn) position, Just to make sure is every ones "line" right around the "A" in "made in france"
Guess im used to my PEs which are mounted at +3 and still 9 cm away from "true" center

do your's have the serial numbers stamped into the top sheet? the mark should between them.

Mine are mounted with just the slight heal lift.
The serial no. is printed in metallic on the top sheet and yeah, between the serial I think is the mid sole mark.

Just checked my Foils.
On the top sheet, the mid sole silver line mark is across the letter F (France)on my pair!
