For those of you who attended the Freshtival which i assume is all of you, and picked up the new SBC SKIER, the rant by Fresh Owner Steve Saranchuck (sp) is fucken beautiful. freeskiing is goin to lie dormant unless shops become more informed about the possibilities of a big fat twin. more stability, more options, more fun. period. sales staff at ski shops who section off a small part of there shop to twin tip skis and dont allow the older generation of skiers the possibility to try these thing out, need to be taught a lesson. Read the article, he makes alot of valid points. good stuff steve.

i think let people ski what they want, i only ski fats, but if someone wants a slalom let them, who cares as long as they have fun and you have fun and they don't ruin your fun, i think it was just an add for fresh wich was kinda lame instead of actually speaking the mind.

dude by no means what it an ad for fresh. not once is there even a plug for fresh. yes some people are oging to like slalom or race skis. and some people just want a carver. The thing is todays twintips are no longer park orientated. they dont need to be used for freestylers and "hotdogs". ski shops need to stop leading people away from the twin tip market and start directing them to it.

yeah, i bet you in 5 years almost all skis will be twintipped, because well, why not. Its not like it really afects the performance of the ski that much (not sure about like racers, it probably affects their skis.

Not totally twintipped, but a somewhat turned up tail.
Most skis come with this nowadays because you can release from a carve more smoothly and transition into the next easier.
Full twin tip on every ski would just be a waste and look dumb.

Hmmm, something I said 5 years ago already. I totally agree. There is no reason to keep the different faccets of skiing... different.
