CR Johnson and Simon Dumont, from the Salomon Freestyle Team, took the first two spots of one of the most impressive Urban Contest: the San Francisco Ice Air!
Simon Dumont (2004 and 2005 X-Games winner), CR and TJ Schiller scored 30 points for their best jump. CR was the most consistent rider and took first with his signature off-axis Rock Bottom 900. Simon Dumont was a close second followed by TJ Shiller in third. CR is one of the most all-around skiers of his generation, capable of expressing himself just as well in parks as in contests and Back Country. He produced also this year his first video with Tanner Hall: Pop Yer Bottlez (PBP Productions)…The Icer Air…by CR Johnson
The San Fransisco Big Air competition was amazing. It is not every day you show up to San Francisco on a beautiful day to jump on snow. The energy of the crowd and athletes was great, everyone was excited to see the event.
Although there was trouble with speed, many athletes such as JJ Thomas, Simon Dumont, and TJ Schiller through down some awesome tricks. The prizes for the event were very impressive. Thanks to my Bio 9, I will drive away in my new Jeep, six grand richer.
Yeeeehaaaaa!
