i heard today that the same company that owns abercrombie also owns hot topic or something along these lines. does anybody know this to be true or can anybody prove it? that would be most badass if its true.
i no the same company owns abercrombie, american eagle, and hollister. its a monopoly abercrombie is super high, hollister in the middle, and american eagle at the low end which is still high so they make tons of money. I no cuz look at there price tags on all the shti... there all the same just diffrent company name and price
bahaha i work at an abercrombie in california and in our mall (which has a total of, like, 20 stores, its horrible) its across from Hot Topic. whenever people come in looking for anything in black, our manager yells at them and tells them to go to Hot Topic.
my manager also admitted he only hired my sister and me cause "You guys are like, hott?" yeah, he's a smart one. got fired the week I left for school for sexually harassing employees. oh, oh Adam.
are you fucking kidding? maybe this site truely is full of rich bitches. I mean i dont touch shit at wall mart, but I go to target for alot of cloths. Im not saying I dont get slightly more expensive cloths, but gap is not super cheap.
alright, abercrombie DOES NOT and i repeat DOES NOT own American Eagle. In fact, American Eagle is so shitty that we used their shirts for toilet paper wheni worked at abercrombie. abercrombie broke off from the limited somewhere around 1995, and that iswhy they do not sell black because that is the limited's biggest selling color and a term of sale was that they would not sell anything black in the store. hollister, contrary to popular belief, is not owned by the same company, as both those companies are independantly owned by two brothers. kind of likd adidas and puma.
You kids seriously need to do some research first.
Abercrombie & Fitch owns four concepts: A&F, abercrombie (kids division), Hollister Co., and Ruehl.
Limited Brands owns 8 concepts: The Limited, Express, Victoria Secret, Eponymous Limited, Bath and Body Works, White Barn Candle Co, Avra Science, and Heri Bendel.
Limited Brands also used to own these companies:
Limited Too, spun off in 1999
A&F, spun off in 1998
Lane Bryant, spun off in 2002
American Eagle Outfitters owns no other concepts and no one owns them. As far as I know, they are a privately held Pittsburg company.
Aeropostale is owned by Bear Stearns Merchant Banking, and also owns the brand JimmyZ.
That is correct. American Eagle is a seperate independent company that operates right here out of Western PA. Hollister and Abercrombie are the same. I worked at Hollister for 2 years so I know how it rolls too. And I totally agree American Eagle is shit. They think their t-shirts are funny, clothes are paper thin and the jeans suck ass now too. When i was younger i used to like their stuff, but they're sorta going the way of old navy now.
