I got offered a deal on the Nordica Ignition(I believe thats what they are called, it may be the blower). It's their park skis but I cant find much information on them. Anybody know much about them?
Yeah. i got offered a sponsorship by the local rep. He said they are a next season release. The ones i say for 174 i think... and 84 underfoot. Maybe like 118 or so at the tip. They seemed a lot like this years scratches.
^ Most skis will break in a season... and you shoulda known they were heavier. But these are different. The shape looked about identical to the scratches, but vertical sidewalls. The shape of the tips and tails were the same and everything. They are trying to get a park ski/program goin.
i work at a shop so i can get them preseason for 199.. i wanna know what they look like tho... i havn't seen them yet... i will totaly think about getting them if i can see a pic
if you work at a shop, proform yourself a set of sprayer bc's, fuckin sickest ski out there for the buck, hands down. Don't beleave me? if your in the east, go to your local hill during the demo day, and ski my personal pair. There danker then then a dunken donuts bosten cream when your blazed as fuck, and thats dank!!
Nordica makes some nice shit. The Dobberman is one of the nicer race boots I put on. Well constructed, tiwh an awsome liner. I rode the hot rods last season and was super surprised at how well they rode and lively they felt. Add on the new x-balace system and the ski feels great underfoot. Only short coming is it doesnt have a tip on both ends. I'm sure nordica makes a great product, I am just not sure how they are going to do making a park ski.
There park skis suck im just like that other guy i got the beasts two seasons ago and they suck their mad heavy and will break by the end of the season
I talked to a rep this weekend about the Ignitions. He said that Nordica realized that the Beasts sucked, and they totally revamped the way they built freestyle skis.
The ignition is the 06-07 park offering in the supercharger series, and the blower is the big mountain offering -- which I thought was directional, but now might be a twin after all.
Either way, you are getting a great deal on those skis from the shop form.
How do you know? They rep I talked to seemed pretty knowledgable about the freeskiing movent. Like I said, he flat out told me that the old Beasts were shitty for park. How many companies tell their reps to diss their own skis? Now, don't get me wrong, I've never ridden these. I have no idea if they'll perform, but I'm happy to see a new face in the twin tip crowd.
its easy to diss the product that is in the past. When the beast came out they all thought that it was the most kick ass ski out there, just like when we released the pow-air. It was sick for its time, but now it just its just a piece of poo.
Don't think that they are the allmighty just cuz they relize now that there product sucked 4 years ago...
I would hold off and see what the feed back is on that one. Nordica has some sick skis, like the Top Fuel out, so they are getting their shit together. But, I would like to hear some feedback or better yet,try them before making the big purchase.
the nordica twin is gonna be sick. super soft in the tip for butters and rock solid in the tail for landing airs. the ignition is the park ski and the blower is the backcountry twin.
i'm considering the ignition since i can get them at a killer deal!
u are right about the beasts, they were some shitty twintips. However this year Nordica came up with a whole new concept and the ignitions promise to be a great and solid park ski...
