i remember a thread on here a while ago that explained how to do the slow motion where it gradually goes to the set speed rather than all at once. i forgot what this was called and tried searching for the thread, but couldn't find it. anyways, anybody know what i am talking about?
cause it will stay at 100% and then jump to 40% at the key frame. it doesn't gradually go to 40% like i want. besides i don't think you can even use keyframes for speed.
^thats what a keyframe does. Changes it from one point to another during the time period you chose. Theres a good chance you can't use them for speed though.
you cant use keyframes. to do it like that you would have to cut the clip every few frames and then change each play speed. but there is still some way to do it...
The effect is called ramping or time remapping. I don't know how to do it in premier. In FCP, you click on the motion tab, select time remap, and play with the bezier handles.
