ill be skiing kirkwood a lot this year, and I know they have kickass big mountain there, but how is the park? Im also getting a pass to northstar and sierra for park.
kirkwood has some sick big mountain, but as far as the park... its neither here or there. but tahoe is filled with amazing parks, its warm there and the jumps are sweet. north star and squaw are sick, but ALPINE MEADOWS is the new place to be as far as park is concerned. the old park manager from mammoth moved there last year, he was essentially responsible for mammoth being as good as it is today, and now he isthe manager at alpine and boreal.
sierra has always been good. you just gotta wait untill the park on bashfull opens up. it's got huge jumps 50-65ft tables. a really big step up. it's just one crazy run that'll last forever!
double whammy which is northstar and sierra for 379, kirkwood midweek for 199, and boreal midweek for 199. Looks like ill have some options this year....
dude...you'll be sufficed with Sierra and Northstar's parks. They are ill, just don't go on weekends. Bashful has hits that rival Alpine (I think they have a few more than them anyways). Boreal will be sick, but if you don't wanna drop bills, the other two will do just fine, I'm sure of it. That is, if we ever get some snow.
kirkwood's park has really gone downhill, I remember in 2000 them having some of the biggest jumps in tahoe, they even went to a superpark with pass system, but recently it sucks. Still my favorite mountain in tahoe.
i only rode at kirkwood once last year but i thought their park had a really good flow, they didn't really have any signature features but the day i was there their pipe was super smooth
