Helmet saved my life many many times. Get a helmet, u'll thank me later. I've run into trees and would have been killed if it wasn't for my helmet. Helmet hands down!

yea definately helmet, and there are some alright ones out there. Even a tiny thing like a capix is better than a beanie the just hold your brains in one place after you crack your head open

All helmets partially destruct, so there are really only single impact helmets, however the impacts have to be fairly big, your right for quite a few small bumps. Some of the giro’s are true single impact helmets though as they, like bicycle helmets have a micro shell over a polystyrene construction.

definatly a helmet...and who really cares if it looks like....its probably some stupid kid who dosent wear one and will some day regret they day he told you helmets are for fags...and yeah mostly all helmets are single impact...but they have to be BIG single impacts like falling 20 ft....and smashing your head on a rock or just smoking a tree or rail...if you just hit the snow or something on a fall its still good

never had a helmet. earflap hand stitched beanie hat. mines from nepal, but the custom ones from kids on this site...very cool. chrochet. (sp?)

all helmets with foam in them are designed to withstand only one major impact. however, this 'one major impact' is one that crushes the foam, which rarely happens to skiiers. unless you see deformation in the helmet you are fine.

most helmet companies have policies that they will replace a damaged helmet at cost (ie. half price), so be sure to review the warranty cards and send them in

second, a hit to the head is one of the hardest things for an emergency room to deal with.....if you get internal bleeding in the head and you're as good as either dead or brain damaged

helmet no matter what kind of skiing...saw a friend of mine get run into buy some out of control bomber and took a ski to the head in the yard sale..both of us have worn helmets all the time since that...plus it has saved my life a handful of times...doesnt always prevent concussions though

ive never worn a helmet though i would if i had the money. i've fallen A LOT and ive never hit my head. must be my jedi reflex's that keep me so safe! bula hats all the way!!
