Yes, wearing a helmet is one of the smartest things you can do. Especially in urban and in the park. Your brain is one of the few things the doctor can't fix.
i have never worn a helmet in my entire life, but i just bought a full face for skiing back country. i've hit my head on rails a few times and it might be a good investment but... eh...
helmets with skiing is gonno be like hockey used to be...at first noone wears em but then people realize its alot smarter to have a helmet and everyone will wear em....there usually warmer too
gots me that beanie w. padding..kinda disapointed by it but it works...sort of, usually just throw on a beanie occasionally a helmet, depends on what im trying to pull
i rock a beanie unless im hitting big jumps. i dont really hit rails so i dont have to worry about hitting my head on that shit. i slide the occasional box but you know how that shit goes. who falls on boxes?!?
there are relatively few "multi-impact" helmets on the market. most will be fine for the few spills you take, but a pretty hefty head banging usually requires new armour for your dome.
what does a beanie have over a helmet? I never feel safe when skiing with a beenie, even on the school trips and stuff. And plus my helmet looks sweet so i dont mind a helmet all the time.
giros are only meant to withstand one major impact because a good helmet is supposed to break. It is meant as a crumple zone to absorbe the impact rather then ur head. If it didn't break u would still get pretty messed up inside the helmet.
