Okay, heres the story, i was out skiin the other day and the only thing in the park was a bunch of rails. Im jibbin it up just fine and then when im gettin ready to go i take off my skiis and one of the bindings (marker 1200 free ti's) is broken. The heel brake treddle is hanging off and the plate its attached to is bent. Upon closer inspection, the other binding also has a bent plate, but is still operable. I tried to fix them at home but it was way too screwed up. I took them into the shop today and the tech guy said the damage was caused by sliding rails (he's had problems with this before) and he would try to warrenty them, but marker might not replace them because sliding rails is considered impact damage and not covered by the warrenty. The guy went on to tell me i may have to buy new bindings, and gave me a lecture on why i should be sliding rails cause its bad for the skiis. To make matters worse, he wouldn't give me demos to use while mine were in the shop, because he was afraid of me messing those up too. i've tried salamon, look, rossi, and now marker, none of which seem to be very durable. In the end, does anybody know of good bindings or ways to alter bindings to make them more durable?
