They havent recorded anything yet this year on the website. Anyone know what the deal is? It used to be very helpful as to how much snow the hills got when its just shitty and rainy in the valley. Now alta is leaving me blind.
Uhm fox 19 news tonight, I guess there are a series of storms out in the pacific and if the jet stream drops down cause by a low up there its going to shoot those storms across here. Weatherman really cant predict shit though, i mean it could be a 100 inch storm or it could be nothing. No one will know til wednesdayish. Go burn a virgin though that helps.
NOAA is really the most accurate though, from what I have found. They are already predicting "Snow likely" for thursday though...thats a pretty good sign of something signifcant if they are calling from this far out. Hopefully its more than 6 inches.
^That one is usually pretty accurate, and the one below is awesome as well. It gives really god damn accurate 12 hour and 24 hour storm predictions....but I dont think that one is up and running yet.
I went up there today and fucked around on my rail for a while today. There is plenty of snow up there to get your preseson jib on. Plus, the snow is really good for shaping lips right now.
Just a FYI, but Alta ski resort is not open yet and their offices are only open monday thru thursday during the off season. Probably explains why they didn't report the new snow till yesterday. If you are itching to go skiing so bad, then I think you would have drove your ass up there to check it out. I went up there, went for a hike and run around in the snow and then laughed at everyone who was so core and giving me the eye cause they were out skiing all that deep pow.
yeah what the hell was that comment. it wasnt really referring to anyone. turretts? but if you look at the annual snow chart, it shows the snow they recorded way back in the beginning of Oct. 04.
