Hey, I was wondering if anyone uses there CD players on the mountain (in the park specifically). If so i was wondering if anyone knew how hard u would need to hit the ground to break a normal player or what a good player would be to us on the hill. Thxs
I always have my CD player with me, but it's fucking indestructable.... good ole Panosonic Shockwaves. Spend the extra money, their worth it.
Hear and you forget, see and you remember, do and you understand...
Does MD player count?

Anyways, just put it in your chest pcoket. If you flal hard enough on your chest to break the player, then you woulda had serious injuries anyways, which i doubt will happen very often unless you're a moron.

I had a sony one for 150, and it skipped even though it had 'G' protection. Then I brought it back, and bought a sport panasonic for 160. It's water resistant and never skips. Battery Life is pretty good too.

Remember kids, don't do drugs, to often.
thanks for the bump. I thoroughly enjoyed people debating what was the best thing on the hill where now a days it's clear that MP3's are far superior, especially now a days. However around this time I was using a panisonic shockwave player with MP3 CD's so I could fit more music on one CD and and also MP3 CD's were harder to skip.
mauiii just got a minidisc player..but im scared to take it on the hill..it cost an arm and a leg im sure one fall could crush the little thing

I HAD ONE OF THESE
8 year old me wasn't very good at predicting future technology. It wasn't that minidisks were bad, it was just that MP3s were better and did't involve having to record off CDs or radio.
I had one of these a while back and I remember running with it to my friends house after I got it and being amazed that it didn't skip. On the way back half of my collection of cd's, in one of those things with all of the cloth slots which was probably 3 inches thick, broke off the carabiner that attached it to my jeans and sent about 40 cds flying into the street and then got ran over by a Dodge Grand Caravan.
And to top it off this was around the time of the second gen ipod nano coming out. CD's were almost dead already.
Just imagine how devastated 10 year old me was, sitting in the street with a thousand yard stare as the Grand Caravan drove away, holding the pieces of my already-outdated-CD's and my awesome handmedown sony sports discman.
