Whenever i spin normally i spin to my left, but when i spin swithc (only can do 180's and some 360's) i have to spin to the right. For some reason spinning switch to the left just feels completley wrong
lots of people have that problem including me, so dont worry about it, just either learn to spin switch unnaty or learn to look over your left shoulder going switch
its more common for this to be true then the other way. it has to do with ur dominate side and which way you like to ski switch. most people spin sw unnaty until they work on their naty then thats easier just work on it
It is because you are probably not very comfortable skiing switch and always look over your right shoulder. once you are better at going switch, you can look over both shoulders and you will start spinning left. It is easy to get good at skiing switch. Just spend an early season day when nothing good is open carving switch on groomers, alternating your shoulder you look over.
I spin right facing forward, but when i spin switch i spin to the left. I actually did a switch 3 before a did a normal one. On a switch 3 you can spot the landing the whole time. I think its all in what way you are more comfortable turning your head.
that isn't too bad of a problem, at least you can switch on to rails easily that way. (Normal spin left, left foot forward, but spin right when switch = good for rails) But you gotta get both ways eventually anyway, I am in the same position without that prob. Switch 3 are easier to style because you can see the landing and you don't have to fight it resulting in penciling out.
im more comforable with switch to unnaty slide, than normal. then again, i can unnatural slide most things i can do regular(the s-rail being one of the exceptions.)
you dont have to change the way you spin.... just get used it to. i spin right forward and left swwitch. and can five both ways. and i cant spin sw to my right for my life. and can only 1 to my left forward. just embrace it and get used to it.
