Okay, let's say you're a high profile athlete, skier, rider, what have you, is it always going to be a taboo to say you're gay?

Or is this asking for a very unwise career move, or financially unacceptable for a company or sponsor?

Or is this such an unexpected juxtaposition that being gay and being the best freeskier in the world just doesn't jive well??

Is coming out of the closet more acceptable for female athletes than males?

Just a few thoughts thrown out here. . .

Depends... if for example Tanner Hall would go in a magazine and confess that he is homosexual, he would immediately lose like 99% of his "street cred"... It's sad but true. I'm not saying I wouldn't think less of him, because I know I would. Sadly.

^ ya, but in my eyes that doesnt really = street cred. maybe ski cred.

i got no problem with gay peeps, but it would prob ruin their ability to get sponsered.
