Replying to SSX On Tour Thread
I rented this game to see if it would be worth paying for. At first I didn't think it would, but after playing for a while I would definalty buy it. Its a lot like Jonny Mosely Mad Trix, but its also a lot better. You can do butters, nose press, tail press, you CAN cork, the grabs look at lot steezier and sick. Its fun just cause its a skiing game. The dumb thing about it is that you dont get points for nose press/tail press/corks and stuff like that. Its just grind, or spin. The controls are kind of wierd though. Like the D pad controls spin and flip but you cant spin or flip with the joystick. The left joystick controls how far forward or backward you are leaned in the air. So for a cork, you have to hit the jump, set the spin, and then use the left joystick to make it a little off axis. You have to do all of this before you through your grab. Its obvioulsy really unrealist because its an SSX game. And if your trying to win the game, you HAVE to use the lame mega ultra super awesome uber tricks which are really gay. In my opinion, i like to play the tour for a while until you can get some sick gear, and then just freeride. Another cool thing is that all the runs are connected. So if you start at the bottom run, you'll hit only one run. But if you start at the peak, you will hit like 4 runs and it takes about 15 minutes of playing to get to the bottom. All in all, I would rent the game before buying it. That way you can see if you like it and then buy it or just not buy it if you dont like it. Its a skiing game though so its obviously sick.
