Replying to Why arent ski DVDs widescreen?

I understand that things like bootercrunk and safety meeting are shot in 4:3 digital, but i just got my copy of Teddybear crisis (which was shot entirely in super16 and 35mm, from what i hear) and it was "fullscreen." The 4:3 looks good on 4:3 TVs, but a widescreen version would look good on computer screens and WS TVs, and it would be more future proof (a 480p WS DVD looks damned good on my 52" 720p HDTV). Next year there will be the possibility of distributing in HD-DVD and Blu-Ray. Are there going to be any changes? I would pay good money to get an HD widescreen copy of teddybear crisis.
