Another sticky? Ski flex and ski type post...

The stickies so far seem pretty helpful, so lets do one more that helps everyone. Ski flex is somewhat relative so here is how I want to post this: I want anyone who has ridden at least two different twins to PM me and tell me how they flex compared to at least one other ski, what you would recommend them for, etc. I personally have skied a large number of different twins, but I want other opinions so we can make this a factual post, not a personal opinion post. Don't PM me with "I flexed blah blah in the shop and they seemed stiff." I want personal experience, and probably they type of skier you are and how much you weigh. I am pretty sure my flex listing of almost all skis would be pretty accurate, but I want proof. Hit me up.

The only problem with doing flex comparisions is how they compare with weight, its gonna be hard to make your chart accurate without actualy having the skis and using a spring scale to test them.

My point was even if you include weight as a variable its going to be difficult to make your chart accurate.
My example being:
Guy weighs 150, squats 300, says mad trix are medium, says explosivs are stiff
Guy weighs 190 squats 400, says mad trix are soft, says explosives have a medium flex.
Guy weighs 190, squats 300, says mad trix are medium, says explosivs are stiff.
There are just too many variables with peoples opinions of flex to take a mass of peoples opinions, and have them be any more accurate than the least accurate opinion.
That said youre other posts have decreased the ammount of dumbass posts on the board by about 400% so you should still make your chart because it will probably be helpful.

Flynn, I understand your logic. However, regardless who you are, an Explosiv is always going to be in the 'stiff' ski category.
My point is, even if you are big ans strong, the scale of stiffness will feel generally the same as it will to a smaller guy. Although the big dude can flex an Ex more than a smal guy, it's still going to feel stiff compared to a Made'n.

I just think its a more accurate thing to take one persons experiences with and not the experiences of the masses, because it takes away all the variables. So someones personal opinions, like russels would actauly be beter for people to look at than a jumbled opinion of many.
And the exlposiv thing was jsut the first real stiff ski that came to my mind and was why i used it in that example.
