I chewed a lot all through high school...it's perfect if you can't drink at a party or something, it's super chill...sure it's worse than smoking a cigarette, but you don't smell and it hits your quicker...but, my gums started to bleed a lot when I brushed my teeth and my they aterted to turn yellow and brown espcially around the gums...and then I didn't go to the dentist for a long time so it was twice as bad when I showed up after over a year and the I got quite the verbal lashing by the nurses and dentists...I would never say that I was addicted, but most of my friends were (although I did leave family gatherings from time to time to take a dip...which makes me seem like an addict, but I don't get withdrawls or anything), so I would have been soon. It was easy to quit, the only problem is now I drink a lot more...but it is very tempting at times, espcecially when everyone around you is doing it.

i've tried it a couple times, but i dont do it and it is pretty nasty. i've even see girls dip a few times....i just think its a gross habit to develope. plus this guy came to our school to talk about chew and have of his face was gone cause of cancer....thats enough to discourage any sane person.
