i'm going to jackson hole this january! i've only been skiing out west twice before, once i was 6, and the other time was 2 summers ago at high north, so i've never really gotten the true western experience. anyone else gone there? any recommendations of excellent places to ski out in jackson?
i took a febuary trip out there last year. we got 14 inches the night we arrived so the first 3 days were fuckin' amazing. Corbets is pretty much suicide but if your up for the challenge, go for it. the expert chutes are sexy and the hobacks are nice too. Hiking the headwall is a must. good mountain. basically no boundaries just drop in where ever your little heart desires. Have a good time out there.
I went up there last year for 3 days and felt like I had barely even touched the terrain that mountain has. In my opinion, there is not a better mountain out there as far as crazy terrain and cliffs go, just hope that the snow is good when you go!
