yeah dude the mountain opened!!! we have 134 trails open- all with amazing coverage and 7 parks!!! Including a sic superpipe!!! Oh my god i just 100 million dollars on top of that!~!!! guess i'm just really lucky...

I can not really see killington opening this weekend there is now doubt there is enough snow and if its cold they can throw down mad snow from the snowmaking system but they do not have the money and it is probly not in there best interest finnacialy to open. sure all of us ina 50 mile radius will be up there but we dont make them money the rich new yorkers on vacation there do.

bascilly.....if it doesnt get warm until the weekend..they are opening on saturday. and my friends are working super hard to get a mini park open for saturday too . ahh im so excited! too bad i wont be up there for 2 more weeks...

How many trails would tehy opean up? im guessing they would blow snow like mad on 10 trails to make an even more substantial base and try to keep those onse opean for the season. It would take more then 2 40degre days, it wont get passed the high 40s at teh summit, to melt all teh snow. otherwise it would be a huge waste of cash to blow snow with the idea of letting it melt 2 days later.

they would def not just open for the weekend > they wouldnt hire all there help then lay them off for a two weeks it dosnt work like that if they open they are shooting to stay open with quality snow

A quote from the Killington guy I talk to:

"We are looking at an early opening this weekend and I would like to see if you were interested in coming out and providing the weather sticks."

So yeah... unless there's some kind of crazy melt, Killy WILL open!
