Its debateable to say who fell harder. Simons was a crushing blow. He fell like from almost 100 feet right? But Tanners was almost so much more shocking, I mean the guy rules the Skiing world for a little over 5 years, and then BOOM, its like sHit.... he is just a regular Raddart. But I think the mental blow was worse for Tanner, the down-time, I think was worse for him, (correct me if Im wrong). However, Simon is Totally fine now, even riding, but Tangent is still walking ery'ting off... hmmmm.
Looks like they both hurt like hell to me, I don't think it really matters who fell harder, it's just amazing that they didn't break anything more serious than they did.
simon fell from like 150-200 feet in the air with tons of velocity, hit a groomed landing on the flat part, and crushed his body into the ground. Tanners crash was horrible but if you think about yourself being in either one of those crashes then you wouldnt want to be simon
Simon def. had a worse crash not because of the injuries sustained but just because of how he fell. This about what was going through his head as he saw he was over shooting and falling to flat groomed and Tanner, well he was basically blindsided as he was just finishing his rotations. Overshooting is any skier's worst nightmare and in this case I would have to say Dumont had the worse crash.
^hahhaha true, but yeah simons was onto groomer, where at least tanner had some cusion with the powder, and it still blows me away simon didnt die, that is the craziest crash i have ever seen
I've got to say Simon had it worse. If I imagined myself in a crash, I'd rather take Tanner's fall (It's hard to imagine) because Dumont was going so fast to almost flat hard snowpack. Clearly both were some of the worst in pro-skiing ever. I think that Dumont's was worse. Im sure we've all jumped from like a high ledge maybe 6-8 feet and you get that lasting sting directly in our soles. Now multiply that through you're body times a thousand. They both look like a car crash That rippling effect.. Both are nuts. Period.
^ that exactly wah ti was gonan say anyone whos overshot know how scary and bad it can be tanner thought he had it the whole way dumont prolly knew he was fucked before he got tot he lip
T landed on an up hill slope and it was far from powder i have mates who were there on the day who said well yeha it was far far from powder but simon did fall a long way....tannerws skis just stopped dead like bang
thats why he got fucked up he would have experienced more g's because simon could still kinda continue foward whereas tanner just stopped but the momentum changed his direction of flow into the alpha sector of klingons and uranus...fuck it they were both gnarly but one thing is for sure tanner sustained worse injuries
if tanner's body was just alligned slightly differently, he may have tumbled violently, but he may have also avoided injury. however, no matter what direction simon went, he was fucked. the sound of simon's crash in tbc is pretty much insane. i still don't understand how they could overestimate the speed that much, i mean he pretty much doubled the length of the jump.
If you watch tanner's in a movie, you see that the snow is so thin on that landing. There is fucking dirt showing. Both were terrible. Who cares who's was worse
dumont had time to kinda set for the fall even though he was fucked either way...tanner didnt know it was comming so therefore i think tanners was harsher on his body. he got fuckin whippped
when you fall, you rate how bad it was by how hard it hurt. Simon's would be scarier for sure, because he had so much time to think about it. Tanners was way worse of a fall because his injuries were worse.
Simon, nothing worse than overshooting, I was knocked out from falling 30-40 to a more angles slope, i can't imagen falling almost 100 ft to pretty much flat.
tough one, simon gets the overall high rating, but tanner gets high style points because of the way he folds over, not to mention i like watching him fall
