I need to go to a small college. I'm legally blind, and small classes are the easiest way to get the special accomodations that I need. All of the smaller colleges I've been to either have really shitty facilities, don't have the major I want, or have absolutly nothing to do around the campus. I also can't drive, so public transportation is a must. any suggestions?
Johnson and Wales have some good campuses relatively small and decetn schools. Check out a website called www.collegeboard.com it will help you out a lot
colorado mountian college in steamboat springs is awesome...its where ill be goin in the spring and the public transportation is good there and its only 4 miles aways from steamboat ski resort...also it is a community college so youll have no problem getting in, the that sucks is its only a 2 year college, and on the positive side the town there is awesome and theres always something going on so if u love the mountians and skiing and want to get an education at the same time i would def. say this college is for u....anyways hope this helps you out...
St Mike's and Champlain College in Burlington VT. Most classes consist of no more than twenty students. There are busses that run from the St Mikes campus to Burlington (a five minute ride) and Champlain College is right in the heart of the city. I go to St Mikes and have friends at Champlain. Both have nice campuses, tho' they are a little bit different. St Mikes is more liberal arts while Champlain is more business orientated.
Colby, Bowdoin, St. Lawrence, Bates, Hamilton, Union, Hobart, Tufts, Amherst, Vassar, Connecticut College - all small schools (under 2500) and all very good schools.
the idea of a small college that doesn't suck is kinda like the idea of a 3 foot powder day that isn't awesome... it makes you chuckle a bit, and then realize you are a bit crazy for even dreaming of such a thing.
thats awsome dude that your not letting your vision get in the way of skiing
