i just got my 179 fujatives back from being mounted and i asked for center mount but they deff dont look like the center and the center line isent inthe middle of the ski. would it be back to mount them directly in the center?
it's their screw up so if there is another pair on the shelf make them give you a new pair. then your buddies can get a pair at discount price when they sell the others.
^thats right... but the guy who mounted them is a dumbass, he should have known what you meant, if not, why would you have asked him to mount them in the center? duh!
If you don't know the difference, you might want to hold off on telling people where to mount your bindings. However, if you did ask, then they should have complied. The dynamics of a ski when in an arc vs. trying to land and take off switch is the trade off you are going for with the altered mount. If you are going to use the ski mostly for jibbing then a true center mount will be better IF you are going to be doing a lot of switch skiing, if not, manufacturers recommendations usually gives you best results.
The person who mounted your skis shouldn't be called out as stupid as it says "Core Center" on the side of the ski. A very easy mistake.
Try it first man, it isn't bad at 'core center'. If you want it different take them in. They might just charge you the same anyway since it wasn't specified what you wanted.
yeah, demand a new pair. they effed up, and now they have to take responsibility for their actions. i don't even let the tech guy have a chance to fuck up. i make sure he writes where i want them mounted at least 3 times on the contract i sign, plus i have him mark the ski with a piece of masking tape before i leave the shop. no reason for him to screw up then, right?
jsut take em back to the shop and say they didnt center mount it and they will prolly mount it for you again and they will put stuff to fill the holes that are they.
no, that's fucked. every time you redrill the ski it weakens it more and more and can eventually lead to breakage. if they really did fuck up, and you told them to go true center, they owe you a new pair of fujitives. it's their fuck up, not yours.
yeah, when i got my skis mounted and told them that i wanted core center, the guy brought me back to the mounting area, and took my boot and put it on the ski in the middle and said "there" he marked them up and mounted them. You should go back and yell, they screwed up, you dont need to "suffer" for someone else mistake
