jimi hendrix had a good and original sound, but was by no means the greatest guitar talent.

Insane

As far as talent goes John Mcglaughlin is probably the most talented because he can combine speed, technicality, and incredibly difficult improvisation skills. Then there's Jason Becker and Shawn Lane who were super fast and really technical(crazy sweeping) in their primes.

When is comes to the guitarist who i enjoy to listen to the most and who actually sounds really good I don't think anyone compares to Eric Clapton in the 60's and 70's.
