In this case it seems to be suggested for no reason. They ski better further back and everyone on Armada (as well as most people off) will tell you to put them behind the line. Same with ANTs, I believe. I prefer to measure from center, I'm not sure where 89 from the tail is... about 5-6 back? Sound about right. That's roughly -3.

Forget about the suggest line it's too confusing, 89cm from the tail is an Exact recommendation from Tyson Hall, Tanner brother, that is where JP skis tham that's where I would ski them. Just get a tape measurer and mark them yourself. If you must know yes it's 5cm back from true center but if you do ot that way it require two measurements and then their is more chance of error. As for the kids on this site complaining about alternate mounting positions, Armada lays up the graphics with the midsole mark already marked in the graphic for one thing so NONE of their skis are exactly accurately marked. It's all part of their small brand steeze, kind of like not having MSRP and MAP to go on so we have to sell them at their starting price, they keep us on our toes.

ok call me an arse, but i don't want to mess these things up...when measuring from the tail (because i've never done it or seen it done) do you account for the slope of the raised tail (like with a tailor's/clothing measuring tape) or do you run a staight shot from the top of the tail to 89cm (like with a metal construction tape measure). I'm guessing, that you measure it down the tail...by the way, do you guys have any Look p12's from last year, I could bring them back up and have you mount them. thanks.

Actually, with Armadas (esp the JP's, which are the ski in question here), mounting back of the line is the way to go.

I don't know for a fact but if i had money i'd be willing to bet he's not just name dropping. I'd say he actually knows these people. About wrecking the sale, he probably has a lot more experiance with the industry than any of us do so i'd be willing to trust his advice and judgement. I don't know him very well but what I do know he seems pretty legit.

All I said was that redrilling a ski that has had structural integrity issues is sketchy and that brand new ones are nearly as cheap. A ski is hardly new after it's been drilled.

Hey Billy I think your best bet is to measure the entire length of the ski as best you can on a straight line tip to tail without the curve and see what the tape says. I believe you'll come up with about 187.5ish meaning just measure straight 89 from the tail to mount. If the length comes up short than try agin with the shape of the tip/tail included and see what you get.

I mounted my with demos originaly and found the sweetspot to be about 3 back for myself, im a small guy though and usualy prefer to be a close to center as possible on most of my twins.

I also paid 12 dollars for my jps, i got them fro a lady named Dana, she hooked my up on the ultra-proform the next generation of pro form that only the most elite of those below the poverty line has access too.

i just picked up the 191s today and mounted them 3 back from dead center, or 1 cm infront of the recommended point. we'll have to see how they ride.
