from what Ive heard I wouldn't do it. Doesn't that stuff make you depressed, and isn't their side effects with alcholhol, beside, why are you asking us, use google
dont do it it can ruin your blood. im on accutane too and the doctor AND pharmasist said ABSOLUETLY no alcohol. also, watch the junkfood you eat cas your cholestrol is supposed to shoot up.
accutane scares the shit outta me. i read this off the net one night..
'can cause elevated pressure in the head, resulting in temporary loss of night vision, or, in extreme cases, death'
!!!!! risk DEATH just so clear up my not so terrible complexion?! shows just how important one's image is these days. sad...
plus, the effects of accutane wear off after a year anyways, so what's the point.. just let the teenage hormones do their worst and then it's all good. so what if you're not OMG HOT STUFF for a while.
When you're in High school being crater face can really fuck your life up. Gettin dissed all the time, not being able to get laid. Sure wouldn't want to go through that.
yeah, a valid point. i've got the t-zone shit goin on.... zero acne, just pimple pop up here and there around the forehead, chin, beside the nose. it can get annoying, but thank god they only last a few days then vanish... then pop up somewhere else. gah.
i had acne and it FUCKIN SUCKED. combined with the damn braces was SHIT. yeah so i went on acutane and it worked really well but it dries up your skin really badly so i used moisturizer often and used chap stick all the damn time- again it SUCKED so bad. i broke my collar bone on acutate- like the biggest no no of the drug is breaking bones. I did it and had to get off, sending me to a second treatment months later. What can i say though it worked really well. i also drank when i was on it and nothing bad happened. i did get bloody noses on occasion though. i didnt smoke though cause i had a damn blood test every two weeks.
You can drink, but you need to be straight up with your dermotologist when they examine your blood tests. They will take you off accutane if your liver is damaged. Although with my tests the damage was never severe, so my doctor figured it was alcohol and let me go. She was pretty cool and I hinted I drank so it worked out good.
my mate was on it and he got fucked up and had to go to hospital in the ambo cose the drink couldnt get out of his system, atleast thats what he said, n when he was lying passed out on the bed at the hotipal this green shit was coming out of his mounth, n his parents were asking me if he'd been on other drugs or had his drink spiked, pretty interesting night.
my gfs been on it. it dried her body out like crazy but she never got acne again. just a few pimples here and there. im just lucky ive never had any acne in my life. sure ive had pimples but acne is one thing
haha yea acutane is sketchhh i took it for like 3 months a long time ago, and i thought it had been taken off the market...pretty much yea its a bad idea to drink when your taking it. If it has the potential to fuck you up enough that you need weekly blood tests, i would say that alchohol just isnt a good idea
I took it for 6 months...cleared up the worst acne you've ever seen. Now people mention how clear my skin is (it's 7 years later and no pimples ever came back).
On that note..i drank while on it..i never thought it fucked me up in any way at the...though looking back at the teen i was, it was probably fucking with my head and i just didn't realize it. My brother went off of it after a month because it messed with him too much. Just depends on the person i guess.
and about the blood tests...if it starts screwing with you in a permanently damaging way..those tests will more then likely catch it before it does any damage. Most perscription drugs have a long list of 'potential' side effects...if the bad ones actually manifested themselves on a regular basis, they wouldn't sell the drug.
yeah it really does depend on the person. ive been on it quite awhile and im done after this month and i havnt noticed any bad side effects (aside from dry skin, chapped lips)
my buddy was on it and checked into the phsyc ward at the hospital last month because of depression. it precautionary measures, but they figure accutane was the cause of the depression
so tempted to drink on it but i onloy have like 2.3 more months. this stuff works wonders. at first i thought fuck that stuff but nothing else works. so i am taking it and its amazing shit. yeah just hold off, when im done im gonna drink like crazy.
yea seriosuly im taking it and this thing is awesome. so far no side effects for me exept for dry nose and chapped lips, but it's awesome. i'm not drinking either, i don't rememer the doctor saying no, but i'm not willing to take the chance. and i don't know if anyone said this, but the idea of accutane causing depression is like an oxymoron. accutane= less pimples= less stress, better life.
my brother was on that stuff for awhile. he drank on it. im not sure if it was because he drank or what, but his platelett count dropped to almost nothing, they couldnt figure out what the fuck was wrong with him... it was kinda sketch. hes also had curly hair since he came off it (2 years ago) and his hair before was perfectly straight. i wouldnt mess around with that stuff.
man i darnk on time when i was on it and it fucked me up hardcore i passed out and my friends said i was shaking and and shit and then i was sick like hungover sick for 2 days it sucked ass so i wouldn't reccomend drinking while on it
