where would you go in the west? I am going to go on a ski trip and I live in CA, so I want to go to either, CO, UT of BC. which area would be the best. keeping in mid price, skiing and night life.

its my birthday present, so I'm going in dec or jan, next year is no option. The cheaper the better, because that means I can stay longer. I'm thinking of just flying somewhere with my stuff and finding a motel 6 or something like that and just going day to day.

out of the places ive been, i think utah was the best cause you can stay near slc then just go into little cotton wood and get some of norht americas best skiing (alta / snowbird) i did it last year... a good idea. you can stay at either mtn too but i think that would cost a little more.

Utah is sweet if you want really awesome all-around skiing, but I'm more into big mountain so I'm taking a trip to Jackson Hole this year....again. I'm not saying that the Salt Lake resorts don't have big terrain, I just think Jackson's is slightly better and it's 2 hours closer for me.

Utah is real nice because you can stay in salt lake for wicked cheap and drive to alta, snowbird, brighton, and solitude. all within 30 minutes. they also get tons of snow and have wicked steeps!
