Hey, i'm against a lot of things that are going on with the war, i'm not shy about that. I'm canadian, but if my country was in the same situation and there was all of a sudden a draft that was absolutely unavoidable, I'd mull it over and then volunteer to fight. at that point, it's not about defending the country or pride or making oil money.. it's about my neighbour who has to go fight and I don't because his name was picked and mine wasn't.
Go over, get the fucking job done, then come back home and lynch whoever forced it.

that is freakin pathetic you guys are the biggest pussies ever. If you didn't vote for this government, then you have no say. Really, and we voted for the president to make our decisions. I don't know but hundreds of thousands of helpless women and children getting slaughtered is a good reason to pick up a gun and something I would give my life do defend. i got a letter in the mail that said if i don't sign up, i'm getting fined $250,000 and going to jail. if there ever is a draft (and there never will be) i still probably wouldn't go because they call age 25 first and work all the way down to 18.

actually, you've got it opposite. First they draft 19 years olds, to give the 18 year olds time to finish high school. Then they draft the 18 year olds, followed by 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, and 25 in that order. It'll never happen, so who cares... but if it did, sucks to be 19.

that has nothing to do with this or any war. not like these allegid terrorists have anything to do with crime in the US. (I firmly beleve that Iraq had nothing to do with 911, even if they did, im not saying it was justified, but they had reasons other then they are jelous of our money)

We have no reason have ever been in Iraq. They never attacked America. They didn't have weapons of mass destruction. Even if they did, who cares... we have more weapons of mass destruction than anyone. Does that mean we deserve to be invaded? They had a dick ruler, but so do a lot of countries, and you don't see us invading them. Acutally, we do business with a lot of dick rulers. We have to know what the fuck we stand for before we can take a stand. If you think our government stands for democracy, you've been mislead. We've done our share of toppling working democracies when it financially benefits us (guatemala, anyone?) Basically, we don't know what the fuck we're doing, so it seems absolutley insane that some of you are so quick to say that you'd be over there. over there accomplishing what?

If the draft was coming back, I'd sign up for the nave on my own free will. that way, they don't draft you into the army if you are already in one of the armed forces. And it is better to work on a ship 3000 miles away, then in the sand. And better to ride than walk

Like I said earlier, I'm 4f and I didn't have to worry, but If there was a draft, I'd definitly go. If there was a HUGE war and soldiers were needed, I'd do that too, but I can't.

I dont care what you all say, you only live once and I am not going to go die in the fucking sands of Iraq for no god damn reason. I love my family and just being alive, Im not going to go risk dieing cause its the right thing to do. Fuck my neighbor they have the same chance as I do to go to canada. When bush is ready to send his daughters to Iraq then I will know the war is justified then I will go, otherwise fuck that.

im lucky its not leagle for me to get drafted or join any force such as the army, navy, coast gard or anything like that because i am more that 60% deaf in both ears.....goood for not being able to join the war or be drafted but it does suck.......

Okay i'd love to see where i said that it was easy to move. I simply said you register for the draft or you have consequences. I'm not assuming it's easy to move to Canada i know for a fact what it's like because i have moved from NH to Vancouver and hten back to NH.

I know you didn't say it was easy. I'm not tryin to start an argument bout that. I'm just saying that if an 18 or 19 year old kid gets drafted and is not willing to fight, it'd be much more difficult for them to just head to Canada then for a family to do so.

So you would put the gun down and let him shoot your daughter? Who said it had to happen in a war? You said you would never kill anyone. Period. What if you did have kids and this did happen? You would put the gun down and let your own daughter die? I hope you would take your own life after that. (still killing another human being so you lose either way)
