I noticed that when I shave everyday my face breaks out hella bad, but when I go like 4 or 5 days in between shaves it stays clear as day.
So I'm curious if anyone else has experienced this. also how old are you and what kind of razor do you use?

its probably just razor burn, get some shaving cream, that apparently does the trick. also, switch out the blade once in a while if thats how u roll, old, dirty blades r no good for the skin.

Opposite for me, if i dont shave every day or two my face breaks out hella bad, especially on my chin. Chris, you should just get a roughnecks beard going, that would be sick.

i'm older man and have some pretty mean facial hair. i'll have a 5 o'clock shadow by noon. i shave every day but don't have that problem. maybe it's the shaving cream. i use the cheap barbasol with aloe.

get one of the fog free mirrors and shave in the shower after you've been in it for a while. the steam opens pores and keeps the whiskers super soft.

its because your face doesn't shed dead skin cells fast enough, and the oils on your face trap the skin cells and hair folicles(sp?) on your face beneath your skin.. just use like a stridex pad or something and oil control product... if that doesn't help then just stop shaving?
i have the same problem but what i said to use works for me....

yeh man that happened to me...before u shave, use a oil free face wash..then shave..then after, put on moistureizer on your face...do that everytime u shave...it is beacsue your skin is very sensitive to irritation...just wash your face evry day and that shit will clear up...if it doesnt..go get some medicene from the doc.

use womens shaving gel...for real. also shave after you shower not before. dont use a mach 3 they suck ass, use an excel. buy an electric and use it like 2 days after a razor shave then use a razor every 3rd day. also if its way long use the eletric to chop it down to managable size. or grow a beard so you can cultivate sick ice-cicles on powder days.

maybe your problem is your not shaving to the way there hair goes so when it grows back it upsets your skin making you more vulnerable to getting a break out... just a thought... take it or leave it... o yea shaving cream helps too... so if you dont use that you might want to start

Or the neutrogena stuff, which I find better personally. I've tried both. Get the shaving cream AND the face moisturizer, and don't be afraid to use them. Works great. And pick up some spectro jel as well.
The face moisturizer bonus: it works well to get rid of windburn, so it's nice after skiing. Ya gotta take care of yoself, ya know?

I know what you mean. Personally, I'm 18 but i barely have any facial hair, but i still have to shave like once every few days or else i get all those dirty ass mustache type hairs. When I do, a lot of times the skin below my nose gets really dry so i use moisterizer, but sometimes i get annoying mini pimple things in that area that suck. I use an electric razor by the way.

make sure you wash your face, the bumps are cuased by bacteria getting into very small cuts that the razor cuases, causing inflamation

i used to get a ton of bumps and stuff after i shaved, but a simple after sahve gel seems to help do the trick. use mach3 turbo with new blades every several weeks

im all italian and 16 and i shave maybe once or twice a week. My face breaks out with shaving cream, or at least the ones ive tried, so i go with just water and disposable razors.

19, shave pretty much daily or once every two days for sure... dont really notice these break outs (i get em, but from different things). me i find it's my diet. if i eat anything greasy, bang, couple new pimples pop out for a few days. stupid teenage hormones..

Sounds like you have sensitive skin. Make sure you don't go too many days without shaving. Also use some Nivea aftershave balm and it will soothe your skin and prevent those breakouts. Also, consider using an electric razor--they're less harsh on sensitive skin.

my gf shaved the tops of my legs, and bikini line the other day in the shower, i have a rash still it itches like hell. my face doesnt do that i only shave once a week if that. just when the stash starts looking way to trashy and not my rugged look anymore

yah...the break out happens. You can control it with alcohol...anything from after shave to clearasil to a shake of bicardi 151 will do the trick.
i shave once or twice a week, i don't mind getting scruffy though it's hard on the expensive blades.
