I am 6 foot 200 pounds and have been riding dynastar troublemakers the last 2 seasons and they have been very good to me, but ive ridden the pe's and they are alot better all around
One word...Gotama...they are built like fuckin tanks. I am the same size as you....I almost never ride park (becuase we don't have one) but I am always in the BC and these things are solid. The Seth is also pretty good.
soo, pretty much every company makes a ski directed towards bigger people. I think the last year Line Pollards in a 186 would rock out. Or, the 4frnt MSP 187 would be really good. my friend is like 215, and used them last year. He liked em a ton.
MSP supermodels is what i am skiing on this year same size as you too. things rip i took them out the end of last year a little stiff for the park but super steeze for the straight line!
Heads are strong as hell and stiff. People say theyre heavy, which they area bit, but if you actually work out and have some muscles then they should be fine.
Awesome everyone thanks. I'm trying to weed out the wimpy noodle skis and hopefully I can try out some of the skis everyone is recommending before I buy a new set.
Id go for some Mojo 90 or Vicious man. Theyre both strong and can plow through crud. Just so you know, for most companies the thickness of the core DOUBLES between the sizes of 179 and 189. So if your gonna be doing drops and big jumps the 189s usually have twice the thickness in the core than the 179 so hopefully your a tall guy or like big skis.
Regarding my previous post, I obviosuly didnt mean just from 179 to 189 since not all companies use those measurements, I mean from 170-something to 180-something.
Dude take it from me, the ski you're looking for is the 186 Pollard pro. Best of all cos it's last season you'll get it for a great price. I'm 230 pounds and I fucking love these skis...one of the best all mountain skis ever made, especially for big guys like me.
^^^^hey rich, i just got the 186 pollards from last year...plan on usin them for bit of park at the big hills, and some powder for SURE...i weigh like 185 or so and about 6'2"...you think they'd be decent for hittin bc booters n shit like that??
Well if (like me) you can't afford a pair of fat skis then they'll be fine. Obviously it's not specifically what they're designed for but I'd say that they're better than most other non-BC specific skis.
