it was like msp, every shot was slow mo, and all they did was have timelapses in every shot. what a waste of money. tanner had the only good segment. there is no rap, or even rock. its all european pop shit. its just terrible.
I haven't seen the movie, but from the little I have seen, it's the most creative ski movie to date, and I'll credit them for that. I'm sure I'm gonna like it the most of all movies, too. But of course, everyone can't have the same opinion.
no i disagree with your music preferance, 11th hour was so sick and you dont need the rap or rock for everything seriously, i doubt youve seen 11th hour
i havent and i dont intend to,it polly sucks just as much or worse. and yea u do need rock and rap, or at least u cant have every segment be the saem genre, like tbc was like techno. just terrible
I was just about to start a thread about how stoked I am on teddybear... I wish it had a few more rails maybe... and even though the intro was pretty cool I can't see myself watching it too many times... but overall it was tons of footage and I never got bored... probably the best After Effects and "artsy" shots out of any ski movie I've seen... it all flowed well and the skiing was fucking huge
In some ways I must agree. A lot of the music was a little lame and there are soo many timlapsed shots that don't have anything to do with the movie. The thing I liked least about the movie is that everyone's part is so short. The only full length parts are Tanner's and Simon's. Mike Wilson and Brandon Becker's parts are pretty long too. That being said those guys' parts are all soo sick. I love Simon's part. And Mike Wilson got so good in that year off. Oh yeah also I wasn't that impressed with Jon's part.
yea i got it, and u guys are foold, rap should be the only music in ski movies. skiers = black, so we listen to negro rap, not gayass techno emo pop wich sucks.
there were like 4 segments that were full, and ignoring the music that went with them, they were good. but the rest of the movie had too much random shots in between almost every shot that ruined the movie. and on a side note jon olsson was previously a backstreet boy.
the soundtrack is not euro pop. you guys are retarded. there are two "euro" songs and one of them is in the bonus features. most of the music is 80's style new wave, which is awesome. the closest thing i can assimilate the music to is afterlame style. the shots are amazing, and the skiing is out of control. you guys who are all about switch gorilla steeze onto 700 kink suburban rails should have watched the trailer, hardly any rails, just real skiing. best movie of the year by far, and my favorite all time.
If you didn’t like TBC the got buy hit list, or something similar, slam some brewskies crank up the Sabbath and bash your head repeatedly against the wall for 90 minutes...you'll love it. It shall satisfy all you cookie cutter tastes and fill the necessary rap/rock quota.
Hmm...I guess you could say the movie was consistant flow throughout the whole thing, the riding was amazing, but I just didn't dig the soundtrack...it wasn't unstandable though.
you guys should be used to this type of soundtrack from all the previous rostrup movies. not another ski movie and the scanners for instance, lots of 80's new wave and techno, like this film. i dont recall any rap in his films, ever. i dont understand why anyone would rag on a film as progressive and amazing as this. there were alot of timelapse shots in the film, because they look fucking amazing, if you didnt like it, after watching the teaser which is the same as it, why did you see it?
it's not just that. The editing in this movie is better than any other ski movie out there. Anyone who disagree's has never tried to edit a movie. The things where they're spining around. I have an idea of how to do that but it probably wouldn't work
this video brought skiing soooo much closer to snowboard videos. i just bought futureproof, and this movie makes it a toss up between which one i want to watch more. before tbc, it would have been a definite futureproof, now its really close. this video is gonna put skiing on the map.
