People don't want skiing to become like rollerblading... but apparently expect it to keep progressing without any inovation (like grinding differently)... i personally think one footed grinds are ridiculously ill.
one footed grinds are for faggets...skiers are ment to slide one way and that is sideways with both feet...nose and tailpresses are ok...butif you want to rollerblade...then go ahead and die
God gave you 2 feet for a reason, and sliding rails isnt the only place to progress, as soon as you start doing one foot grinds your contributing to making skiing less serious. If you do one footer's you spend to much time on rail's and you should think about moving out west and learning how to ski. I am only saying this because I dont want you kids to waste your time, skiing is more fun then rollerblading, lets keep it that way.
and he put you on the ground for a reason too, and made gravity for a reason, its just a fad cool thing/opinion. I'm diggin the whole girls representin tho, it seems liek there are alot moer then there used to be and they talk about skiing which is cool.
uhhhh, i thought the point of skiing was having fun? who cares if skiing's serious, its not track and field, its about having a good time and doing stuff that feels fun. Let's face it, if we all worried about being serious all the time, life would suck
and furthermore, who the fuck defines whether something is serious or not, i bet clowns take themselves very serious, i know there are clown colleges etc, so maybe making generalized sweeping statements with absolutely no substance or point is making skiing less serious.
actually i think skiers are meant to slide forward, not sideways. last time i checked you can go way faster that way. but then all those fuckin people atarted sticking metal shit in our runs and we need ed a way to get over them. then we got to good at that so we started doing it one footed cuz its more challenging and fun.
I think all the people that hate them are just the kids that ski gorilla style since you can't lift your foot sliding that way, your knees are in your chest. I think they look cool if they're done right, and it is just progressing the sport. My suggestion for people who hate them would be to just look away if you think someone's going to do one.
dear Chadatbreck*
for 1. your a douchebag
2. your a douchebag
and 3. your a douchebag
one foooters have nothing to do with rollerblading, and we have to build our sport off all other things, be creative, throw down w/evs new and dont hate against rollerblading cuz where would we be ? where would snowboarding be without skateboarding ? come on buddy!
there gay and even when there done right they look like some stupid rollerblader trick. i want tricks to progress but i dont want skiers to be like crossing their feet on rails if thats even possible, or like grabing their boots while sliding that would be really gay.
i think nose/tail presses are really cool. id be cooler if people were doing like butters on then butters off the rail, and shit.
you all gotta stop saying that theyre copying rollerblading like its a bad thing. its just what happens. thats the exact same thing as saying snowboarding copied skateboarding. its progression, and there needs to be a base for it. the base for skiing is rollerblading. you all cant deny that it takes wicked talent to be able to 50-50 like iannick or one foots like gagnier. sliding rails doesnt have to be all about being as steezy as possible. its just one style. this is another.
for being a pro skier that sounded pretty gay.. people should grind how they want, 1 footers can be extremely ugly but with practice they can actually look good.. if you wanna say 1 footers were taken from rollerblading then so was grinding, and so was sw ups
that part right there was what i found to be an invalid point.. i know how to ski ski and i live on the east and have never been on west, and it sounds like this is going to turn into an east west match because the whole come out west and learn how to ski.
it is a bad thing to copy rollerblading, when people try to do rollerblade tricks and shit on skis it looks almost as shitty as it does on rollerblades. if we have to "copy" someone it better not be rollerbladers or else skiing will turn out just like rollerblading and all the fags will do it, and then ill switch to snowboarding. plus i know more skiers that skate or snowboard too than skiers that rollerblade. and one of my buddys that snowboards says skiing starting to look alot cooler and closer to snowboarding.
but i say we just do our own thing, instead of copying someone else.
rollerblading and skiing are alot different and it should stay that way. grinds are alot different and cooler on skis, spins are different and cooler, and just plain skiing is different. the only similarity is that we are both facing forward.
one footers are horrible, much like the plague. they (one footed grinds) are gonna ravage the ski community and turn 60% of them into full season rollerbladers, much like the plague ravaged the european population ages ago.
they do both. The thing I have a problem with is the sideways one footed grinds. Ugliest stupidest thing ever. Read what pep has to say on it in SKEEZE
